Happy New Year: What’s Coming in 2025

2024 has left us behind and a new year is upon us. So, with that in mind, I think it’s a good time to update you on how my various projects are coming along and what you can expect to see from me this year.

Stories Across Borders - Season Three

Stories Across Borders is back for its third season. As always, the majority of the episodes will feature Jon Coenen as my co-host. However, you can expect to see plenty of other guests as well - some new faces, others returning.

Episode one of our first new cycle, focused on drama stories, is available now. You can also expect to see cycles dealing with ghosts, the ocean and science-fiction stories through the year. Of course, there will be other cycles beyond those as well.

With every subsequent season, the quality of Stories Across Borders only improves. I’m looking forward to sharing more of it with you as we get better and better.

Ficsation - Season One

Speaking of podcasts, I’ll be releasing a second podcast this year as well. Ficsation is a more casual alternative to SAB, without stringent rules or themed cycles. Every episode will feature a different guest - many of whom will be familiar to you - talking to me about a piece of (typically) fictional media that they particularly enjoy or that has left a strong, lasting impression on them. The first season will feature 6-8 episodes including those focused on Kingdom Hearts, Gone Girl and, as a bit of a plot twist, Cosmos: A Space Time Odyssey.

If you enjoy SAB or just listening to cool people talk about media they like, Ficsation will be up your alley.

Marble

If you’ve been following my content, you’ve probably heard me mention Marble once or twice. It’s my upcoming book, a spin-off of Domino that follows a different group of characters going through the same attack. Work with my wonderful editor, Nicki, is well underway and we’re getting pretty close to the end. I can’t give you an exact release date just yet, but Marble will definitely be releasing this year in both physical and digital formats.

Domino Returns

Speaking of Domino, I’m not quite done with the first book of the series yet either. A newer edition of Domino with an updated cover will also be released this year. Additionally, work is soon to begin on getting an audio version of Domino out to you. You will be able to purchase a full version of Domino as an audio book. However, I am also intending to periodically release individual audio chapters of the book completely free as well.

Epilogue

I have talked a little bit about this project before as well. Epilogue is a series of short stories set during the end of the world. Each season is set in a singular location, with each episode following a specific individual in that location and dealing with their thoughts and feelings as humanity’s time comes to a close.

The first season of Epilogue is set on a plane and is set to release this year in text and audio formats.

This one has proved surprisingly challenging, if I’m honest. As such, it’s ended up taking a lot longer to get to you than I had originally expected. But it’s a concept I really enjoy and a project I’m passionate about and I’m excited to get it published as soon as possible.

Other Content

In addition to the above, you’ll continue to see me posting stories and poetry here that you will be able to read completely free. You can expect at least one story per month as the stories I write for the final episode of each Stories Across Borders cycle will be released in both text and audio formats shortly after those episodes go up.

I’m also going to keep posting more blogs and articles. You’ll be getting the usual mix of shorter and longer articles as well as the occasional review. Currently, I’m aiming to release two blog/articles posts each month.

There’s some other miscellaneous content on the horizon too, so keep an eye out for that!

Website Improvements

This isn’t content as such, but I think it’s worth letting you know it’s coming as well. As much as I like how radfordwrites is looking at the moment, it can definitely be better. Work has actually already begun, but a revamp of the website to improve its appearance and functionality is on the way.

The biggest and most exciting change this will bring with it is the introduction of a store. My books will continue to be available on Amazon as well, but soon you will be able to purchase physical and digital versions of my books directlyfrom here also. Any audio content for sale will be released exclusively through radfordwrites.

That’s all I have to tell you for now. I have other things I am working on as well, but not things that I’m ready to tell you about quite yet. There’s a busy year ahead though and I’m looking forward to sharing all of this and more with you as 2025 progresses.

I’ll drop more updates like this throughout the year, so be on the lookout for them if you’re curious about what I have coming up and what I’m working on.
